Project overview

To free up space for 463 residential units, as well as a number of retail units and a renovation of the currently unused jetty, at eight-acre Fulham Riverside, the existing Sainsbury's supermarket was downsized and put on stilts, with car parking underneath. Above the supermarket sit beautifully landscaped podium gardens with a spectacular waterfall cascading down to the river. A central avenue lined with stylish townhouses, each with a lift, links with a new riverside promenade.

Work undertaken

- Design, supply installation, commissioning and certification of mechanical and natural ventilation systems in five blocks.

- Mechanical car park ventilation system.

- Project included multiple points of integration with building management systems.

- Systems were designed to protect communal lobbies, stairwells and car park.

Equipment used

- Zonal control panels, LED indication panels, fan control panels, MCPs, smoke dampers (0.5m2), smoke transfer dampers, environmental smoke dampers, volume control dampers.

- Temperature sensors, door actuator, maintenance switches, smoke extract fans (max 6.2m3/s), roof ventilators and environmental fans.

- Induction fans, 1400 diameter extract fans, CO detectors, system control panels, fire officer switch and plant room inlet grilles.
